Letter - 46 Con fe en cada pasol

Hola!

Que tal? Como estan?

This week went by so fast! This transfer went by so fast! I cant believe that we are already half way through the training program of my second hija! Everyday just gets faster and faster! How sad! And I am sorry that today you wont get pictures because the internet that I am in doesnt have a way to download.

In the scriptures we learn that Charity is the pure love of Christ. This is an attribute that I am really trying to develop right now! On Tuesday I gave one of my favorite people here in Chiantla a pair of cute pink shoes, Her name is Yona. When I gave them to her she started to cry and gave me a hug and started to tell us about a bunch of the challenges that she is having right now. I am grateful for this experience because through our acts of kindness, we develop trust. I think we would have never known her needs if we didnt exercise the christlike attribute Charity!

One thing I learned this week is that the way were are isnt a weakness, it is a gift from God. We all have challenges, but, we are also children of God. He created us! We can do everything with His help!

I know that I still have a really long way to go.. but, my mission is changing me. I am learning so much. Before my mission I always said I knew that the church was true.. and I did. But, now I have a conviction that the church is true. I know this more than anything else! The church of God is so organized! God loves us!

Creelo!

I love you guys so much!

Love,

Letter 45 - Cuenta tus bendiciones! (count your blessings)

Hola mi querida familia! Yo les amo con todo mi corazon!

I have so much to say today because I have learned so much in this week!

I love being a missionary. I love that I can say that I have been set apart from the rest of the world, by a Prophet of God, to represent Jesus Christ and His church. Yesterday when we were walking in the street we saw a woman sitting outside her house. We started to talk to her, but then her husband came out side and started to argue with us. One thing that I have learned is dont argue with them no matter how wrong they are jaja. The thing that makes me so sad is that they WANT what we have! They just dont realize that this is the thing they are looking for. I also love that I get to feel only a little piece of what Jesus Christ felt when He was here on earth. When people were yelling at Him, and I know it was a lot worse than what we get as missionaries, I can only imagine how He felt. I was reading in Mosiah 14 this week and is gives a detailed description of the cruxifiction of Jesus Christ, but, I love when it says that He didnt open His mouth. He didnt say anything to them! It also amazes me that Jesus Christ died even for the people that killed Him so that they can be forgiven from their sins too. He loves them.

One thing that I realized this week is that Satan didnt have a veil put over his mind and eyes. He can remember everything from before this life! The counsel in Heaven, the battle we faught, and he can remember that those who chose to follow Jesus Christ won! He also remembers who we were before this life. He knows how great we were! That is why he tries so hard to make us feel worthless here! Because he doesnt want us to reach our potential. We were with our Father in Heaven before this life, learning of His plan! Here right now on earth is the test of our faith! Heavenly Father wants us to win! and we can win!

Also, yesterday in sacrament meeting, a little 8 year old girl was bearing her testimony and she said "I know that the Holy Ghost loves us" I had never thought of that before! It really does amaze me! People always say, "I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me" But, I never heard anyone say that the Holy Ghost loves me. I know this is true, especially everytime I feel Him testifying through me to my brothers and sisters in Guatemala. He loves them just like He loves me and He wants all of us back too!

Tuesday we met with Rene so that he could fill out is baptism record. We arent sure if he will actually be baptized on the 17th because he hasnt come to church in 4 weeks! He was coming every single sunday, but then when we put his baptism date he had to start working sundays in huehue! So, we are going to visit him tonight to see what the deal is and what we can do to help.

Thursday was Brandons birthday! FELIZ CUMPLEANOS! I was thinking about you all day long! I am pretty sure everyone was really annoyed because I kept telling them about it haha I hope you had a great day Brandon! In one year you can put in your mission papers! What a blessing! Then we had a ward talent show in the night! I sang in english "Come thou Fount". When the Bishop announced me, he said "We have an international singer here to sing for us all the way from the USA!" haha I thought it was funny. Also, everyone had there phones out recording it haha Then we did another act about missionary work. It was so funny! haha I think we gained a lot of trust from the ward!

Friday we had interviews with President Smith. It went so well. I was telling him about some challenges that we have had with some of our investigators. President Smith is wonderful. He gave me some really great advice about how I could help them. I love him.

On Saturday we helped the familia Bran move houses. You can really see the blessings that they are recieveing from being faithful members of the church. They were living in a house with metal for the roof and it didnt have floor. The landlord of the house was really mean to them. But, the Holy Ghost helped them find another house for the same price with a ceiling, floor, and it is bigger! What a blessing!

I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that He loves us. I really can not wait until the day when I can give Him a really big hug and He can wipe away my tears in person. I reccomend going on a mission to everyone. It really does change lives. I have been changed. I am excited for all of the blessings that we recieve when we follow Him. I know He has a plan for us and that this plan is so perfect. He is pleading for us to come to Him. So, let us do it!

I love you guys and I love this work. Yesterday I realized that this month I will have a 11 months here in Guatemala. I got a little teary eyed because I realized that I only have 7 more months to be a full time missionary with a name badge to prove it. I have mixed feelings. I love you guys, but, I love it so much here and I love seeing what the gospel can do for people. It really does change every life it touches.

Move forward with faith in EVERY step! and know that He loves you, wherever you may be in your life.

Love,

Hermanita Natalie Paige Bullough
